The village of Mathildedal
Mathildedal is a charming village of many surprises: beautiful wooden houses, verdant oak alleys and a modern community with numerous small businesses. The old ironworks village is located in Salo, right next to the Teijo National Park and the sea. The lively yet laid-back village has concerts, theatre, art galleries and various celebrations throughout the year. The old ironworks buildings, lush surroundings and heartfelt inhabitants are sure to win over anyone who visits. Mathildedal, home to 140 people, was Finland’s Village of the Year in 2010.
How to prepare yourself for the live session: Prepare yourself with a comfy chair and a couple of questions about what the secret to Finns’ happiness is. Maybe you’ll find the answers during our live trip to the village of Mathildedal.
